It is a matter of pride and privilege for me to introduce our students and College to you.

Marathwada Mitra Mandal (MMM), a charitable trust was established in 1967 through an inspiration of the socially and educationally motivated personalities with the motto, ‘येथे बहुतांचे हित’ (Welfare of Masses). Under the aegis of MMM, various educational institutions, namely; Architecture, Management, Law, Commerce, Pharmacy, and Engineering are imparting quality education to more than 12,000 students. With consistent efforts and dedication of all stakeholders, six of our colleges have been accredited with 'A' grade, 'A+' grade and 'A++' grade by NAAC, Bengaluru.

MMM's Shankarrao Chavan Law College (SCLC) was established in 2003 with an objective to nurture lawyers instilled with ideals and values required for playing a constructive role in bettering our society. We believe that education is the backbone of any healthy society and imparting extensive legal education is essential for progressive development of society. We work with a mission, i.e., to provide ‘Quality Legal Education for Masses’. Our College strongly believes that students must be stimulated intellectually and skills must be cultivated and fostered, so that they achieve their desired career objectives, while further contribute significantly and positively to the growth and development of society. Law is a dynamic profession and catering to its needs through academics is a responsible task. Through consistent endeavours, the College is able to set benchmarks not only in academics but also in other activities, like; national moot courts, debates, international and national-level conferences and seminars, policy drafting competitions, etc. The knowledgeable and research-oriented faculties consistently take efforts to develop students & comprehensive and critical perspectives through various subjects.

We, at SCLC, provide our students practical knowledge and strive to develop a holistic approach through integrated teaching-learning. The College organises diverse events which help students build a strong academic foundation. It offers nine Diploma courses and many other Certificate Courses aiming to provide maximum exposure to students that helps in diversifying ideas and various practical approaches. It provides Five years integrated B.A.LL.B. and B.B.A.LL.B., a Three- year LL.B., Two years LL.M. degree, and a Ph.D. degree in law. We provide our students opportunities to acquire knowledge and life-experiences through international-academic collaborations. Also, our well-equipped Library provides updated learning resources.

Training activities conducted by various Cells, Centres and Committees, like; Placement Cell, Legal-Aid Cell, IPR Cell, Human Rights Cell, Centre for Advanced Legal Research & Training, Centre for Academic Research, Publication & E- content in Law, Centre for Law, Public Policy and Governance, Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies, students are enriched with socio-legal knowledge. These initiatives assist them to realize their social responsibilities and equip them to face the practical legal challenges of the outside world. The up-to-date infrastructural facilities on the Campus aid the students to keep themselves groomed for the global challenges and opportunities.

Students at SCLC optimally utilize their crucial years to venture into the legal world as interns so as to develop their legal acumen and acquire the proficiency and insight that only practical experience can offer. Focusing on the all-round development of students has become a hallmark of our College. We are sure that our stakeholders would continue to become a valuable addition and an indispensable asset to the College.

We are confident about our students achieving success in this ever evolving, complex and global environment that surrounds us today.
