Moot Court Association

The participation in the mooting activity not only helps in developing legal knowledge but also develops varied set of skills such as critical thinking, research, drafting and communication. Taking in consideration the importance of mooting, SCLC has established the Moot Court Association. It is the committee entrusted with the responsibility of administering mooting activities and upholding the high standards of excellence in the institution. It’s role is to facilitate and regulate mooting at the SCLC. Firstly, this involves planning, organizing and executing moot court competitions and various other competitions. MCA's second major mandate is to impart training for the development of mooting skills among our students. In pursuance of this, the MCA follows a policy of encouraging participation in mooting from all batches, including the first years. To achieve its objective MCA conducts varied activities such as Workshops onMooting for Beginners, Mooting Skill Development Programmes, Intra Collegiate Moot Court Competition and guest lectures etc. Enthusiastic student participation is the peculiar feature of this body.
