Moot- Court competition :

The art of advocacy develops through practice and thereby attains perfection. Moot-Court Competitions aim at providing platform to the students to gain experience and imbibe in them the spirit and confidence required for a real court life Marathwada Mitra Mandal's Shankarrao Chavan Law College motivated students to participate in various state and national level moot-court competitions.


In this academic year 2007-08 our students participated in various moot-courts :

1. Surana and Surana Moot Court Competition 2007 – the following team participated

2. Justice P. B. Gajendragadkar Memorial Moot-Court Competition :

It was organized by Department of Law, and Students Welfare Department, University of Pune on 1st September 2007. The team comprised of

	Rishabh Gandhi IV BSL-LL.B. (Mooter)
	Surabhi Guleria IV BSL-LL.B. (Mooter)
	Aishwarya Kadam III BSL-LL.B. (Researcher)
The team secured First Prize among the 15 teams and Miss Surabhi Guleria IV BSL-LL.B. bagged Best Speaker Award.

3. National Level Moot-court Competition was organized by Bar Council of India Trust, New Delhi from 11th January 2008 to 13th January 2008 :

The winning team of Justice P. B. Gajendragadkar Memorial Moot-Court Competition represented University of Pune at National Level Moot-Court Competition at Patiala, Punjab.

4. Yashvantrao Chavan Memorial Third State Level Moot Court Competition was organized by Yashvantrao Chavan Law College on 12th January 2008 - The team comprised of

5. Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Law College, Nagpur organized Sixth "Justa Causa" National Law Festival from 21st February 2008 to 24th February 2008 :

It organized Moot-Court Competition and National Seminar. The Moot-Court team Comprised of –

6. Shri Swami Vivekananda Shikshan Sanstha Kolhapur, Law College Osmanabad organized First State Level Moot-Court Competition on 22nd and 23rd February 2008. The team was represented by

National Seminar :

Mr. Rishabh Gandhi IVth BSL-LL.B. participated in the National Seminar Organized by Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Law College, Nagpur. He presented paper on medical negligence.
