The Shankarrao Chavan Law College, though a fledgling in terms of its physical existence, is a veteran when it comes to imparting quality education. Under the edges of the Marathwada Mitra Mandal, the Law College has come a long way.

From humble beginnings, today, the Marathwada Mitra Mandal's Shankarrao Chavan Law College boasts of sprawling campus in the heart of Pune, which has long been identified as the educational hub of the country. Apart from superb infrastructural facilities like a well-equipped library, spacious class-rooms, lush green zones in and around the college building, the college also comprises of well experienced and competent professors. Its proximity to the University of Pune and other sterling colleges of Pune also provides its students the room to interact with other students, not only of their college but others as well.

The student community at the college is cosmopolitan in nature, quite like the rest of Pune and is actively involved in several curricular and extra-curricular activities like moot-court competitions, sports, theatre and other cultural activities. The five years and the three years law coursed are structured in a manner so as to enable a student to gain maximum knowledge from subject as well as the widest variety of subjects and flexible options.

In its pioneer venture efforts have been made by the placement cell to ensure that students were interviewed by an expert panel to assess their legal knowledge, logical analysis, communication skills and temperament among other qualities which are essential for young professionals to succeed in the highly competitive legal profession.

The college is like a miniature Pune with it its mixed student body, a rather active college life, intensive and rigorous study regime and a close knit community.
