In a Democratic policy, the main concern of the state is to have a proper Legal System providing opportunities for securing justice to all. In this endeavour to afford free Legal Aid and guarantee speedy trial, vast number of persons trained in law are needed.
Marathwada Mitra Mandal’s Shankarrao Chavan Law College too contributes in its own way to make this a reality. In pursuance of the
same “Legal Aid Cell” was started by the College on 15th August 2005. The Cell was inaugurated at the auspicious hands of Justice P.B. Sawant, Honourable Judge Supreme Court (Retd.)
Legal Aid has manifold facets. It is regarded in many forms and at various stages. We involve our students as well as Faculty Members to advice
the economically disadvantaged persons. People come forth with various queries related to Property, Land, Family, Co-operative matters and students in turn help them.
The aim is to ensure that justice is not denied to any on account of their disability.
The College also organizes Legal aid and Literary Camps at various remote places to educate the poor and ignorant masses about their rights and enforcement of the same.
It is an effort to imbibe into the minds of nascent lawyers the obligation which they owe towards the society.
