A journey of thousand miles begins with a single step. Knowledge knows no barriers; it crosses all frontiers, all boundaries. Quality education comes when one stretches his wings beyond ones' own legal system.
One of the goals of Marathwada Mitra Mandal's Shankarrao Chavan Law College is to develop a vibrant and diverse fulltime faculty.
In order to facilitate the process, the College has developed a plan for a Faculty Exchange Program with Holborn College (London).
Faculty exchange affords a number of advantages to those who avail themselves of it, including the chance to get to know the other
Universities and to experience teaching at a different institutions.
Marathwada Mitra Mandal's Shankarrao Chavan Law College has been collaborated with Holborn College (London) and has drafted a Student & Faculty Exchange Program.
The faculty members and the students would both benefit from exposure to a culturally varied and diverse faculty make-up. It would give an opportunity to exchange
ideas and observe a variety of styles.
This programme is especially framed for the students of the college, which will give them an opportunity to study abroad, giving them an international exposure to various legal systems. The student exchange programme is to commence from the year 2009.
Full time teaching faculty gains an experience of teaching at different institutions. The college faculty Dr. (Mrs.) Sunita Adhav visited Holborn College in May 2007 and taught principles of Indian Legal System to graduate and post-graduate students of University of Wales, London and Huddersfield.
As a part of exchange programme, Mr. Richard Hirst, Faculty member of Holborn College visited Marathwada Mitra Mandal’s Shankarrao Chavan Law College and addressed the students in Pune on the principles of criminal law, law of evidence and English Legal System during the first week of September 2007.
