Grant of the Term
No student shall be allowed to keep the terms for two different degree courses simultaneously in the same academic year. However,
the student shall be allowed to keep terms for one Degree and one Diploma or one certificate course simultaneously in the same academic
year and appear for the examination for said course in the same examination session of the University. No student shall be entitled to
claim any change / changes in the University examination programme or any other concession on the ground that examinations of said two
courses are held at the same time or any other ground.
Students seeking admissions to the first year of five year Law Course may note that in case they keep compartments at H.S.C. Examination
they will not be granted admission to the said course and those who have taken provisional admission the same stand cancelled.
Admission to each academic year is fresh one the question of grant of term shall also be decided on the basis of the following factors.
Attendance at lectures and tutorials.
Performance at monthly tests, terminal exams, preliminary exams and University exams.
General behaviour of the student in and outside.

Three Years Law Course :
Student seeking an admission for three years degree course shall require a Bachelors Degree in any faculty of a recognized University with minimum of 45% marks in Bachelor Degree Programme.
Admissions shall be solely based on merit.
Five Years Law Course :
Student seeking admission for five year degree course shall require qualification of 10 + 2 (H.S.C.) in any stream of Arts, Science or Commerce or any other faculty of a recognized Board or an equivalent course with minimum of 45% marks in the said programme.
Admissions shall be solely based on merit.
Relaxation :
The students seeking admission for any of the abovementioned courses, who fall under the candidature of SC/ST shall be allowed the relaxation of 5% i.e. the eligibility for them shall be 40%.
Admission Cancellation And Refund of Fees :
Student shall abide to pay all the fees due, default in which, shall lead to cancellation of his / her admission.
Student shall abide to submit all the required documents in the prescribed form, failure of which shall lead to cancellation of his / her admission.
The candidate cancelling his confirmed admission will be entitled to receive the refund of fees after deducting the amount as indicated below.

The candidate canceling his / her provisional admission is not entitled to receive any refund of the fees.
Fee Structure :
Students from State of Maharashtra shall pay the Tuition Fees as per University rules.
Students from outside the State of Maharashtra shall pay double the Tution Fee.
Students, who are Non resident Indian, person of India origin, foreign citizens / foreign nationals shall be required to pay five times the Tution Fees.
Students from Bhutan, Nepal and Srilanka shall be required to pay three times the Tution Fess.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:-
Every candidate seeking admission to the Master of Laws Course (LL.M. Degree Course) must have passed the LL.B. Degree after completing three years of LL.B. Courses or five years of the five years course of this University or its equivalent degree of another statutory University recognized as equivalent to said degree of this University.
- The duration of the Course of study for the degree of Master of Laws shall be two years.
- In each course there shall be four lectures per week and each lecture shall be of sixty minutes. In addition to four lectures in each course there shall be weekly tutorials.
- A candidate is required to attend a minimum of 85% of the tutorials and lectures delivered in each semester to become eligible for grant of term. The Head of the Dept. shall debar a candidate from appearing in the examination if he has not secured the prescribed minimum of attendance in the class in each subjects.
- The four subjects in the first semester and the four subjects in the second semester shall be compulsory.
In the first two semesters four compulsory subjects will be taught i.e. each subjects is divided into two parts of total marks 400+400=800 marks. The internal assessment pattern would be out of 40 marks.
In the semester III optional subjects (groups) will be introduced. The number of seats for each optional subject shall be decided by the Principal/Head from time to time.
There shall be six papers (3+3) of the two opted specializations distributed in the third and fourth semester. In the third semester 2+2=4 papers of the two specializations and in the fourth semester 1+1=2 papers of the two specializations.
In semester III the students are required to opt for four papers consisting of total 400 marks from two optional groups selected by him. The internal assessment for these four papers (of semester III) will be same as semester I & II.(The six papers of the two opted specializations will be distributed in the third and fourth semesters i.e. in the III semester 2+2=4 papers of the two specializations and in the fourth semester 1+1=2 papers of the two specializations will be offered.
In respect of the internal assessment in these two papers of semesters IV he/she is not to write longish term papers, instead, for those 15+15=30 marks he /she is to write additional questions in the two internal written tests. However, viva of 5 marks each shall be held in these two papers of semester IV at the end of the term.
At the semester IV the students shall write a dissertation in the optional group chosen by him/her consisting of total 200 marks. The dissertation topic shall be chosen by the students at the beginning of semester III. The dissertation shall be examined by one external examiner.
- At the beginning of each academic year, the Principal/Head shall notify the optional courses in which instruction would be available during the academic year. No regular candidate is permitted to opt for courses not so qualified.
- The specializations shall be opted by the students with the permission of the Principal/Head on or before the last date of the second semester and also choose the topics for dissertation which shall be submitted in the 4th semester. The dissertation will be of 200 marks (150 marks for the dissertation and 50 marks for viva-voce examination on dissertation) in lieu of the two papers in the fourth semester. In the third semester instead of Longish Term Papers in two subjects, the students shall attempt two questions of 7 ½ marks, in 2 written tests in the semester to enable them to focus on the dissertation research work.
- The work for which a candidate shall be assessed with respect to each course shall comprise of the following.
- Written examination through question papers for each course. An external paper for one semester course shall carry 60marks.
- Internal assessment work shall carry40 marks for one semester course.
- No candidate shall be permitted to appear in more than 6 papers at any one examination at a time.
- To pass the examination a candidate must obtain 40 marks for each subject and 50 marks in the aggregate.
Provided further that the difference between the internal and external assessment marks of a candidate for any subjects shall not be more than 15%.If the marks obtain in internal assessment by a candidate exceeds marks obtained by him in external assessment by more than 15%, the marks obtained by him in internal assessment shall be brought down to that extent.
- In order to improve the Class a candidate shall be permitted to reappear at the external written for any subject or subjects in subsequent attempts. However, he/she shall not be permitted to improve his/her internal assessment class except as a regular student. If he/she seeks admission as a regular student it shall be both for internal assessment work and external examination.
- Internal Assessment Work:
- Written work carrying 25 marks.
- Longish Term Paper:15 marks or Two questions of 7 ½ marks each.
- Two tests -10 marks (of 5 marks each ).
- Oral work carrying 15 marks:
- Tutorial discussions:10 marks.
- Oral test: 5 marks.

Definition of Ragging |

Sec 3, Prohibition of ragging: |
|
|
Ragging is prohibited within or outside any educational institution. |
|
 |
Sec 4, Penalty for Ragging: |
|
|
Whosoever directly or indirectly commits, participates in, abets or propagates ragging within or outside any educational institution shall, on Conviction, be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years and shall also be liable to fine which may extend to Ten Thousand Rupees. |

Sec 5, Dismissal of Student : |
|

Any Student Convicted of an offence under sec 4 for ragging shall be dismissed from the educational institution for a period of 5 years from the date of order of such dismissal. |

Sec 6, Suspension of the Student : |
|
| 1. |
Whenever any Student or as the case may be the parent or the Guardian or a Teacher of an educational institution complaints in writing of ragging to the Head of the educational institution shall, without prejudice of the foregoing provisions, within seven days of the receipt of the complaint and if, prima facie, it is found true, suspend the Student who is accused of the offence and shall, immediately forward the Complaint to the Police Station having the jurisdiction over the area in which the educational institution is situated . |

Where, an inquiry by the Head of the educational institution, it is proved that there is no substance, prima facie, in the complaint received under sub section (1), he/she shall intimate the fact, in writing, to the complainant. |

| 3. |
The decision of the Head of the educational institution that the Student has indulged in the ragging under sub section (1) shall be final. |
Hence, the Principal reserves all the rights to expel any Student any time for any reason deemed sufficient by the Principal as misbehavior.
Students shall abide to pay all the fees related to their admission in time, failure of which shall promote the Principal's right to remove the Student from the College Roll.
Smoking, drinking (Alcohol), use of Drugs, loitering, chatting shall be strictly prohibited in the premises of the College.
Student shall abide to show due respect to the rights of the institution as well as the property of the institution which may include property fixtures, furniture, books, building, vehicle, equipments etc.. of the College or any of its sister institutions.
Failure of above shall lead to punishment such as Suspension, Expulsion etc.
Students shall not be allowed to use mobile phones or any other alike device in the Classroom, Library, and Computer Laboratory etc…
Students shall make an application in prescribed form in case of issuing of bonafide Certificate, Passing Certificate, and Concession regarding Flights, Railways, S.T forms and other Concessions. The Student is bound to submit an application at least 2-3 days in advance.
Students seeking Scholarship and Concession shall make an application, in writing and in prescribed form to the concerned authorities within prescribed time.
Every Student must have an identity Card. He shall always carry it and should produce his college identity card whenever asked to do so by concerned authorities.
Every Student is bound to produce the Identity Card at the time of University examination.
NOTICE BOARD : Students are required to read the notice put on the notice boards of the College. The College shall not accept any responsibility for any loss or damage incurred by Student owing to his/her failure.
All Students are bound to attend all the workshops, Seminars, Moot Courts, guest Lecture, Debates and other functions organised by the College for the Students, failure of which might invite strict disciplinary action.
Annual Social Gathering :
The College Annual Social Gathering shall not be permitted to be arranged in this College. Other similar programmes, which are likely to disrupt the academic atmosphere on the campus, shall also not be permitted. The decision of the head of the college in this regard shall be final and binding on the students and all concerned.
